What is Time? If not a succession of still frames upon which we impart our free will. – Free will requires horizontal causality to exist, successive events one after another animating reality from the perspective of free will.
What is Meaning? If not a unique conclusion derived from our subjective experience. – Meaning is nuanced to the objective desires held in the mind of the agent controlling their own intent. These objectives can be spontaneous, a feeling, a solution or a dream, all of which are fabricated from the worldly experience of the individual. At its core, meaning is what one wills it to be.
What is Consciousness? If not the universes emergent entropic defiance. – Of all the attributes found in the universe there is only one we know of that intentionally creates order from chaos, which is in and of itself an emergent quality of the universe, not detached from but very much a part of the whole. Therefore consciousness is a way for the universe to understand itself and above a certain level of awareness it can fight against the impact of universal constants which otherwise lead us down a perpetual chain of disorder.
What is Society? If not a collective trust to propagate life. – Life is a brutal bout of Darwinian forces where only the advantaged survive. Civilisation wrapped up this process into something manageable, not to hinder the progress of Darwinian powers but rather to create a framework in which life itself, particularly human life is most likely to survive. Almost all pillars of society rely on collective trust without which they are just an idea, like money, law and order, right and wrong. It is trust that imbues this societal framework with a tangible sense of structure, a place for life to progress yet still evolve.
What is Happiness? If not the holy grail of human condition. – This one is simple and likely agreeable through consensus. What lasting feeling is truly better than happiness? The full spectrum of feelings from laughing with friends to finding contentment with your place in the world. Surely happiness is an aspirational priority.
What is Love? If not a familiar sense of duty, bound by our shared vulnerability – Complex
