Biography

Ryan Leonard “Rye” Beaumont (born January 24, 1996) is an English singer and songwriter who was 1/5 of the boy band RoadTrip from 2015 to 2020, being one of the original members. He is presently part of the British musical duo Four Eyes and The Skyscraper (shortened as F.E.A.T.S), their debut single released on July 24, 2020.

Rye Beaumont was born to Lynne and Hugh in Bath, Somerset, growing up in Benahavis, Marbella, Spain. At a young age he moved back to England towards the end of school. He has three siblings: Robbie Beaumont (born May 31, 1994), and the twins, Sammie and Shaun Beaumont (born February 23, 2007)

2014-2020: State of Mind and RoadTrip

Rye and former bandmate Mikey Cobban used to belong in another group called State of Mind (later renamed AddiXon), which began as a trio. He announced his departure in March 2015, and became the second member to join RoadTrip. After many trial members, as a four-piece him, Mikey, Andy Fowler and Brooklyn Wyatt went as a supporting act for the Magcon Tour in 2016. With Jack Duff joining at the end of 2016, they released two demo EPs in 2017, and went on multiple headlining tours. In 2018 their debut single “Take This Home” was released, followed by a promotional headlining tour around the UK and Ireland.

After Mikey’s official departure from the band in May 2019, Sonny Robertson came in on trial and joined the group in June. The band released their third EP, and its acoustic version later in September the same year. In December 2019, Jack left to become a solo artist, still working under the same management at the time. Harper Dark officially joined the lineup on January 1, 2020, and the band released their fifth and final EP, White Label, near the end of February. In March, the band headlined the event One Night Only at Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

2020-present: F.E.A.T.S

In May 2020, Rye and Sonny made a video together, posted to a new channel ‘Thank you Roadies’, which announced the band splitting up. The channel was later renamed to ‘Four Eyes and The Skyscraper’ in June. He continued to provide content as a YouTuber and a singer, alongside Sonny. When recalling his personal experience in the band, he vocalised that he loved the experience, but did not like the music, not being involved in the creative process, and being oppressed, as well as the struggles of being authentic. In December 2020, he along with Sonny, Brook, and Mikey addressed the emotional abuse and manipulation the band received from their manager. Rye urged to stop the exploitation and the oppression of artists in the music industry.

Near the end of 2019, many fans have guessed that he started dating Honor Lamberty, who first appeared in RoadTrip’s “Speed Dating” vlog in December, and are together. They met over a dating/social networking app, where Honor direct requested him, followed by him DM-ing her over Instagram. They have the shared TikTok account, @hyediaries, and run the Instagram account @shotbychin together. Their ship name is Hye (also fully known as Hye LamBeau) to the fanbase, though they have previously used ‘Ronor’. Later in June, they set up their YouTube channel ‘Hye Diaries’, the first video uploaded on June 21, 2020.
